January 31, 2024 -- We want to take this opportunity to thank the following special groups and individuals for volunteering their time and talents to making hats and blankets for the babies in the NICU at Stony Brook Hospital:

And, finally, special thanks to Staci Landi, NICU nurse and board member, for picking up hats , blankets and toys for several months and distributing to the babies at the NICU.

January 31, 2024 -- We were in need of holiday hats and blankets for the babied in the NICU at Stony Brook Hospital. Marie Martin, a long time benefactor and volunteer for the Little Angel Fund, asked her knitting group if they could make help us out and we are so thankful that they agreed! Marie delivered them to us. We want to express our appreciation to the members of the Town of Smithtown Senior Citizens.

October 16, 2023 -- Our good friends and benefactors from Island Budokan with Sensei Dan Hayes held a Dojo National Clinic. They raised and donated $190. We thank Dan Hayes, parents and students for their continued help and support. On November 18 they will hold a bigger main event to raise donations for the Little Angel Fund. April 30, 2023 -- Sachem High School East collects baskets for babies -- Thank you to the staff, students and parents for collecting all these wonderful items and donating them to the Little Angel Fund. A special thank you to Jamie Donaroma and Meredith Babst for organizing this event. Carmen DiBartolomeo, coordinator of the Welcome Bag Program, will assemble the bags and deliver them to Stony Brook Hospital for the babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. We appreciate their help and support. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of others!

April 30, 2023 -- A special note of thanks to Linda Rocco, who purchased and donated the toys for the babies in the NICU at Stony Brook Hospital for the months of July, August and September. Linda sent us a check to cover the cost for the toys for April,May and June. During this difficult financial time we are so very grateful to Linda for all her help and support.

  • Dan Hayes from Island Budokan for sponsoring and organizing events, competitions and fund raisers in order to donate to the Little Angel Fund. We commend these students and their families for their community involvement. We especially thank Dan for choosing our organization. They have been involved for many years and we look forward to our continued friendship.

August 27, 2022 -- Heartfelt thanks to the teachers, students, parents, and staff of Sachem High School East for participating in the Baskets for Babies. They collected bags and bags of great items for our Welcome Bags. These bags are given to the babies in the NICU at Stony Brook Hospital upon admission. Sachem East has held this event for many years. We are grateful to the supervisors Jamie Donaroma and Meredith Babst for believing in our goals and services and organizing this event each year.

January 22, 2022 -- We want to express our appreciation to the employees of Visiontron for donating baby socks, mittens and several other items that went into our Welcome Bags. These bags are given to babies admitted to the NICU at Stony Brook Hospital. Thank you to Sabrina for organizing this donation. One of their employees, Jessi Collins and her husband lost a child and in memory put together several gift bags. These were given to the families in NICU at Stony Brook Hospital. Thank you for helping to make a difference in the lives of others.

May 13, 2020 -- Thank you Junior League of Long Island! On March 7, volunteers created Welcome Packages for the NICU. Thanks so much to this great group of ladies for donating their time and generosity. Special thank you to Ashley Cohen for collaborating with us on this project. Also note a special *Thank You* to the tween/teen volunteers at the Merrick Public Library, who volunteered to assemble welcome packages for the NICU on March 12!

Delivery of the packages was delayed due to COVID-19 related restrictions on donations and visitors to Stony Brook Children's Hospital. We were finally able to make our delivery on May 13! The NICU staff came outside to pick up the donation. We thank the nurses and staff in the NICU for being our heroes and delivering the packages to families in the NICU during these difficult times.
